How Omega-3 Total works
The omega-3 fatty acids EPA, DHA and DPA are essential nutrients that support cell health throughout the body.
Omega-3s have a wide range of benefits: from modulating the microbiome and immune system, through protecting the heart, brain and eyes, to supporting the skin and the intestinal barrier.
Norsan uses small marine fish such as sardines, anchovies and mackerel to produce Omega-3 Total. These are caught sustainably (Friends of the Sea certified).
IFOS certification confirms that the omega-3 supplement has been tested by an independent laboratory for quality, purity and safety. This means the product meets very stringent standards regarding heavy metal, dioxin and PCB content, fat oxidation levels, and the actual amount of EPA and DHA declared on the label.
In NORSAN Omega-3 Total, these are present in their natural triglyceride form, ensuring high bioavailability, safety and stability.
NORSAN Omega-3 Total has a TOTOX index of 9, which indicates a very low degree of oil oxidation. In practice, this means that the oil is fresh, stable and retains its health-promoting properties. By way of comparison, the permissible limit is up to 26, so a value of 9 is indicative of very high-quality raw material and high production standards.
Additional information
The recommended daily dose for an adult is 8 ml, which is approximately 1 tablespoon. For optimal absorption, it is recommended to take the oil with (or immediately after) a meal. At the recommended dose, the bottle will last for 25 days.

Unopened products should not be exposed to direct sunlight and should be stored in a cool, dry place. At temperatures below 4 degrees Celsius, crystals may form in the product. These dissolve again after a few minutes at room temperature. It is recommended to shake the bottle briefly before consumption. Once opened, the bottle should be used within 45 days and stored in the fridge.
